Support a Healthy & Vibrant Christian Community
With an estimated 2.2 billion followers world-wide, Christianity is still considered to be the world’s largest religion.
The Pew Research Center estimates that there are approximately 212 million people just in the United States who claim the Christian faith as their own.
The Gallup Research Organization estimates that 118 million Americans attend church every Sunday morning, in nearly 350,000 churches across the country.
And it is not “just a Southern thing.” 🙂
But, Do Christians Really Spend Money
Buying Christian-Themed Books?
If you listen to the talking heads on television and on the Internet, you might presume that Christianity is nearly extinct as a religion and its followers are people who simply cannot afford to buy nice things.
Yet, there are 100 million Bibles published annually — 25 million of those Bibles are purchased just in the United States.
In 2014, the Christian-flock in the U.S. purchased 52.4 million individual books with a religious theme — a 10.5% increase over the previous year.
In 2015, Americans spent $534 million dollars on books geared to help them improve their relationship with God.
The bottom line is that Jesus is still alive-and-well in the 21st century, and His followers are still willing to spend good money to learn how to live a better life and become a better Christian.
The Christian Journey
Defined by their personal relationship with God, Christians are driven to become a person worthy of God’s favor…
In the “Parable of the Three Servants” in Matthew chapter 25, readers are reminded of their duty to God, fully realized in verse 29, which reads…
To those who use well what they are given, even more will be given, and they will have an
abundance. But from those who do nothing, even what little they have will be taken away.
To be worthy of God’s blessings, Christians must invest real study, effort, and commitment into becoming the person they hope to become…
Our goal as book authors is to give our Christian-buyers the context they want, the tools they need, and to help them take the Biblical journey they are ready to take.
Giving Our Christian Customers
Exactly What They Want to Buy
Members of the Christian community need our help…
They need access to the tools and resources they require to help them on their journey to grow closer to God.
If you think back to your school-days, what kinds of tools did we actually need to learn the materials we needed to learn?
Maybe a textbook and worksheets to guide us through our lessons?
Right?
The Christian already has the textbook, in the form of the Holy Bible.
Where we come into the equation is as the provider of the worksheets that will guide their lessons.
But, not just any ordinary worksheets, like those we had in grade school…
One Of The Hottest Sub-Genres
In The Christian Publishing Industry
There is a whole segment of the publishing industry referred to as “Blank Books.”
In their most common form, these books are journals, diaries and planners.
They are books that range from the simplest spiral notebook design to a well-planned workbook with detailed questions and space on the page to answer the questions.
Some are designed as “Prayer Journals” to help Christians keep notes about the people who need God’s help and guidance and their prayers.
Some are presented as a “Devotional Journal,” allowing Christians to examine in detail specific verses or passages in the Bible, to reflect on God’s Word, to focus on the lessons being taught, and to track the individual’s spiritual growth over time.
Some Christian journals allow the reader to examine verses and passages related to a specific spiritual goal, then to write their thoughts to help them work through the related issues they face in their own lives.
A “Forgiveness Journal” might provide the reader an opportunity to gather notes about verses in the Bible related to forgiveness, and to detail the areas in their own lives where they need to work harder to learn to forgive those who have treated them badly.
Planners are any books that have a calendar inside of them in which to keep notes and remind users of specific appointments.
Christian-oriented planners could be as simple as making Sunday the most important day of the week with lots of room for extra notes.
Christian-themed planners could also include sections of the book devoted to reminding the user about specific members of the congregation who need extra care and attention. It could also include a form for names and telephone numbers.
