How Many Billion Dollar Hedge Fund Managers Do You Personally Know?


Last week I was talking to a trader friend of mine and we were discussing a stock, Tyson Foods. I flat out asked them: “How many traders do you know that are trading a $50 million account?” They said that they personally didn’t know any. I went on to tell them that a large trader placed a $1 million bet that Tyson Foods would rise over the next 1-2 months.


Now, if this trade was 2% of their account…that would make their total trading account worth $50 million. And if it was less than 2% it would be larger to much larger than that. I told my friend that I follow the largest option trades in the world. I don’t personally know these traders are…however, when they place a trade on the open market…it becomes public information.


In other words, the largest option traders in the world are telling us where they think a particular stock is headed. Like I wrote earlier…they are risking large sums of money to try to make fortunes. I may not know them personally…but I can read their intentions.
