    [GET] Google Suggestor 1.0

    UPDATED : 02-10-17 - 03:54:11 GMT

    Google Suggestor 1.0

    Introduction

There’s a lot of talk about making sure your website uses the “best” keywords so that it can be found on the search engines by as many potential customers as possible. But, how do you find and select the best keywords? Ideally, you can hire someone with professional experience do this for you. However, it’s always good to understand a certain amount of the process yourself. Below, we explain in understandable terms a few steps you can take to start researching keywords for your site.
As mentioned in the previous blog post, “Google Instant – Good or Bad For PPC?” Google Suggest submits ideas for you to use based on words most often searched. Though some people do not like this feature (you can easily turn it off by disabling Google Instant and then clicking here), Google Suggest can be advantageous to searchers and website owners alike.
First, it is important to know that Google has accumulated data from the millions of searches done using its search engine and browser over the past several years. Therefore, Google Suggest displays the top requests based on the millions of searches it has collected. And second, though Google AdWords offers a good tool to aid in finding keywords, it is designed from a business perspective rather than a user’s perspective. It is similar to creating a list based on what you think your customers want compared to asking the actual customers directly what they are looking for.
To use Google Suggest, just input the keyword you want to research to see what most people have typed after that word. For instance,

the word “hair” will result in the list on the right.
If you owned a hair salon, you would want to write most of these words down to do some further research. However, if your business had something to do with hair on dogs, you would need to continue typing to see potential results with more words. Generally, about 3 to 4 words is a good length for keyword phrases. Test each keyword by typing each result to see additional options. Make sure to make a list of the keywords which are relevant to your product or service and use these to optimize your site and/or sponsor with AdWords.
To simplify the process of collecting your keywords, there is a tool that is quick to download, easy to use, and best of all, it’s free. Aptly named Google Suggestor, it is similar to the web version of Google Suggest but allows the list of keywords to be copied into a document

so you can continue researching without interruption.
To use Google Suggestor, simply type in the word you’re looking for (i.e. hair) click the suggest button, and a short list of words is displayed. Click the suggest button again, and a longer list is shown. You can do this several times until the list of words becomes quite long. If this is still an insufficient list, click the settings button (looks like two gears next to the disk icon), check reverse seeds, click ok and then click the suggest button again. This will give you a very extensive list (probably overwhelming). Though not all words on the list will be good (valid) for you to use, it will hopefully give you plenty of keyword ideas. After generating the desired list of keywords, you can then hit the disk icon (mouse over it says “save”) and save the keywords to a text file.
