Few questions about Proxy harvesting

Hello guys, im new to the forums, and i will be a VIP member the next day or so, anyways i wanted to know few stuff about proxy harvest and i hope you guys can help me out.

First i've used many tools for this, the best so far is Proxyfire, Gather Proxy is cool too, but on Proxyfire point of view, it reports many anonymous proxies as elite ones !!, i've tried Scrapebox for such job, but i didnt actually like it.


So what i want is pretty simple, i want to get some proxies for scrapebox and some other tools, ProxyFire giving me millions of harvested proxies, but barely 10% alive, and ~2% elite, it is cool because 2% from 1 mil is good, but it takes AGES to check and once it is alive today, the next day maybe half of them are already bye bye.

I want to know how few things, and thanks in advance people

1- What is the best software for proxy harvesting/checking.
2- How to harvest good proxies and get the working ones without the tons of the dead ones.
3- Anyone tried " IP- scanning" or port scanning, some people told me to get few private proxies, then use them to do IP scan and fetch good private proxies for free, anyone know how to do it ??
4- Should i use VPN on checking proxies/IP's ?
5- Can i find ANY software that provide good checking with up/down rates ?? " my OWN checking, not like Gather Proxy ".

For me the best tool for proxies harvesting is undoubtedly Scrapebox.

For security reasons, it's better to use proxies while testing ips/proxies lists.

Is there any chance to know how to do proper IP/Port scan ??, someone told me it is very effective than the other normal websites harvesting :O
