Google's Gary Illyes: Penguin Won't Be Released Unfinished

[Dick]

As many of you know, many are waiting patiently on Google's next Penguin release. We know it is still not ready for prime time and we hope that when it is, it will be the real time version.
But if it is not ready, Google will not release it, even by the end of the year, within the 2015 year.
Gary Illyes from Google posted on Twitter that although he doesn't "know the exact timeline," Google will "not release something unfinished."

I still do expect it by the end of this year, probably right around the holidays but as long as it is not during the mad rush of Cyber Monday and Black Friday, that should be okay. Although, Google has said they try not to release major algorithms during the holidays.

They don't release updates around the Holidays because there wouldn't be enough staff to debug it. It's a cardinal sin to release anything near a holiday since that's when people take vacations and you will have limited resources to debug should something go wrong.

What's new in Penguin, I feel like they're won't be anything new - mostly just attacking spam. PBNs are big in SEO but it's not a legitimate threat to Google.

@Fnuuududdu I agree with you bro

Fuck google i prefer yahoo & bing

Not to hijack the thread, but on the topic of preferring other search engines I have started to notice that google has done so much narrowing of its search results that sometimes I cant find obscure something or other I'm looking for. I was able to find an obscure image the other day on rapidfinder of all places. Making me think I may have to start branching out into different engines to ensure diversity in my search results...
