I'm launching a cooking blog that will follow my lessons as I go through the prof. cooking program and work towards my certification starting in September. I've started laying a blog out in tumblr, but I was wondering if it would be unadvised to publish the same content, same blog name, on multiple hosts? I was thinking about blogger and wordpress in addition to tumblr and supplying links within each other!
Using the same site name is fine but Never publish your full content outside of self hosted Wordpress! What you do is you post your full post on your self hosted site then you take the url from your post you just made, and you put that on tumblr and blogger twitter and where ever else, then write a short description describing the post so all those sites will drive traffic to your WordPress post when they click that link
If you posted the full post on each blog you would be competing with yourself in search engines plus it would be low quality because it would be considered duplicate or plagiarism content
Anyway I hope this helps you.
Goodluck with your site!!!
