FAPPROVED
is an awesome automatically updating adult site. The site is optimised for smartphones and even includes an Android web app that can be added to the home screen.
Stats:
- 2300-3000 UVs per day. Growing monthly. Has grown since launch by 50% every month, non stop.
- 25,000 page views per day.
- 9.1 New user registrations per day (for saving images to a custom account)
- Average of 9 pages / visit.
- Average age 25-34
- 10% Female visitors
How it works:
- Problem: Reddit has an annoying interface, it's difficult to check for new images. That's why I built FAPPROVED. It makes it very easy to receive updates right to your smartphone. Ideal when being bored. I use it like a news website.
- Thus I built a Reddit API wrapper, that extracts pictures hourly from the famous gonewild subsection. Only posts with a good score are extracted. This means you don't have to take care of filtering out bad pictures, the reddit community does this for you.
- Users have all the images of their favorite uploaders in a single location.
- They can then "fap approve" pictures in order to save them.
- This creates rankings for images, based on how often the pictures were fap approved.
- Users can also upload pictures on fapproved, this has been used, but not so frequently.
- There is another admin interface, where the admin can ban users/delete pictures.
Technology:
- Ruby on Rails application.
- Runs on every linux computer.
Reasons I am selling:
- I have no background in the adult niche, thus I have little knowledge when it comes to monetization etc.
- Hosting an adult website in Europe is not that easy. I would need some sort of bitcoin hosting to have everything private. I don't like my personal name associated with it. I don't have a problem with it, but business clients may have.
The site is not generating any revenue currently as I don't know how to monetise an adult website. I also accept payment in bitcoin. I will transfer everything after I received the money to PayPal / bitcoin. You will need to give me root access temporarily to your server, then I can set everything up for you.
